Reasons for Car Accidents

Over the years, more and more people are being involved in car accidents, some miner and some fatal. Every day I fear for my life as I step into an automobile. I fear that there might be a drunk driver, or that the person behind the wheel will make a wrong move and just crash into something or someone. I read many articles, but the one that got my attention was, The 6 Most Common Causes of Automobile Crashes by www.SixWise.com. The article  gave me a lot of useful information that many people should learn about.
Most causes for car accidents are because of distractions. Some distractions include:

  • Driver fatigue (12 percent,)
  • Looking at scenery (10 percent)
  • Other passengers or children (9 percent)
  • Adjusting the radio, cassette or CD player (7 percent)
  • Reading the newspaper, books, maps or other documents (less than 2 percent)
The percents listed represent the percentage of how many times there is a car accident because of these distractions. People should learn to not get easily distracted, if they can not learn they should get their license taken away. These people are a hazard to everyone around them. Innocent people do not deserve to die just because of an irresponsible driver.
