I am kind of stuck between disagreeing and agreeing
with dress code for teachers. I am stuck because agreeing would mean teachers
would have to wear a certain dress code like in the article about some teachers
having a VERY strict dress code. In the article the teachers have to wear a
blouse that has a collar or a school shirt. (The school shirt would be fine for
me, but the golf collared shirt does not looking appealing to me.) Disagreeing to
the teacher dress code would let teachers wear what they want to wear. Just not
anything that is inappropriate. (I guess the dress code basically applies to
the teachers who are women.) It would also help them because another thing in
the article, it says, “Most teachers spend $400 to $600 out of their own pocket
for classroom supplies that the school does not pay for.” And if they were to
spend another $100 for new clothes, then they would be spending about a $100
dollars or more every year or so. But after all of good and not so good stuff,
my decision would be disagreeing on the dress code. Teachers should be able to
choose what they want to wear, and not to have someone “pick something out” for
them.
