Number the Stars Too?

After i read this article The Outsiders' and 'Beloved' among restricted books in Texas Read more: http://www.myfoxhouston.com/story/19708902/2012/10/02/the-outsiders-and-beloved-among-restricted-books-in-texas#ixzz29ztvQTFj, I was completely in awe as in why Number the Stars was being read by only those who are of the right age. It made me furious, this is my all time favorite book. In third grade I, along with the rest of my class read this historical fiction about a 10 year old girl hiding her friend who is Jewish from the Nazis in the terrible era of World War 2.

Many books are being banned and challenged, some books should be banned, like in this article Why Is 'Hunger Games' On Banned Book List? In honor of Banned Books Week, Hobnobbing turns the page of other controversial novels turned into movies. As you can see these books have to do with witch craft and have sexually explicit context. Number the Stars has nothing that could make it be banned or challenged, or even make only kids of certain ages read this awesome book. If this book was only being read by a certain age here in the state that I live in, it would be terrible. Books like this are not harmful at all, if anything they are educational. This book, Number the Stars should not be read by only a certain category of ages, it should be read by everyone!
